The Mischalin
Star Dinner
Twelve friends. One table. A whole night imagined in my sketchbook, then brought to life.
Nice to meet you. I'm Mischa.
Sometimes a dress. Sometimes a dinner.
Always a reason to bring people together.
Ideas off the page
Twelve friends. One table. A whole night imagined in my sketchbook, then brought to life.
From never touching a sewing machine to walking my own design down the FAST runway. One semester. A lot of firsts.
Aritzia × Plus One. A campaign that turns a new boutique into the place you find your people.
Two clubs at Berkeley. One goal: get people to show up.
At Berkeley's student runway org, I plan everything that happens around the show and bring the industry into it.
Reverb is a Berkeley DJ collective. I run the @reverbberkeley Instagram and help fill the room at our nights.
The person behind the projects
I'm a UC Berkeley student building a career where fashion, events and marketing meet. I draw and sew my own designs, I've danced since I was a kid, and I grow an audience of my own on TikTok and Instagram.
Glad you asked
To me it's one job: designing a moment people step into. Sometimes that's a dress, sometimes a campaign, sometimes a dinner table.
Brand, marketing and event roles at fashion and lifestyle companies. I'm in the Bay Area now and working toward New York. Internships, part-time work and one-off events are all fair game.
The Aritzia campaign took a day. The dinner for twelve took a week and $300. I'd rather ship something real and fix it than plan something perfect I never make.
No, and that's the point. I handed the music to a DJ, shot the lookbook with a photographer, and had friends on setup and the last round of food. I run the plan and know what to hand off.

or a what-if in mind? I'm listening.
Good food, my closest friends, and drawing all over the table.
A dinner for my closest friends where we ate well and got to be creative together. One rule for the invite: bring someone you think would love the concept. I built it end to end, from the theme and the Partiful invite to the menu, the $300 budget, the flowers, balloons and candles, and what we did between courses.
The table was covered in kraft paper so guests could draw on it, and on the walls, between courses. There was watercolor too.
The night
The theme was “All That Remains.”
The theme was “All That Remains.” My thinking: if all I had left was my body and the planet, I'd still be dancing. So I made something to dance in.
I'd drawn clothes for years but had never touched a sewing machine, so I taught myself over one semester. I made it for my model, and when she got injured I walked it myself. Taemin Park and I shot the lookbook outdoors after the show.
Lookbook: Taemin Park
A campaign built on the dinner I'd already thrown.
Aritzia opens boutiques in U.S. cities that have never had one. It grows through its customers: photogenic stores, hero pieces, hauls. In a brand-new city none of that exists yet. The girl who just moved there isn't short on clothes. She's short on people.
Plus One makes every boutique the place you bring someone new. One rule runs the whole campaign: come with someone you don't know well yet.
